Consortium German Pavilion Shanghai

The creative team from Milla und Partner in Stuttgart, the architects from Schmidhuber + Kaindl in Munich and the civil engineers from NUSSLI (Germany) GmbH near Nuremberg are responsible for developing Germany’s “balancity” pavilion. To plan and build the German Pavilion, they have established the Consortium German Pavilion Shanghai.

The Consortium had already joined forces in a bidding consortium during the tender phase. By doing so, the companies were able to meet the requirement for a “well-rounded pavilion” and to produce a comprehensive, balanced concept for the exhibition and architecture, from which “balancity” evolved. Together, the three partners contribute extensive EXPO experience and strong expertise in temporary construction – including in China – to the project.
