For more than 16 years, Munich-based, family-run Angerer & Obermayr Messegastronomie GmbH has been tempting taste buds around the world with international culinary delights – an ambitious task!

The husband and wife team that manages Angerer & Obermayr Messegastronomie, Gerlinde and Gerhard Obermayr, revels in the challenge of providing exclusive catering in the shortest of time, at an unfamiliar venue or in a far-off country for clients from the business, political and sports spheres and their guests. Past projects have included the German House at the Olympic Games, high-quality catering for major corporations at trade fairs around the world, marquee catering for tens of thousands of visitors at "Bavarian Culture Weeks" in Eastern European and Asian countries, catering organisation for receptions at town halls in German cities and running a German restaurant at the world exhibitions of the past 10 years. The need to get going straight away without any time to "acclimatise", having to purchase food locally, sometimes in unfavourable circumstances, handling imports and transport of German ingredients and beverages and training local staff demand maximum dedication and permanent concentration.

The two Bavarians have many years of experience, setting them in good stead. They learnt their profession "from the ground up". The master chef and his wife, who spent many years managing top German hotels and restaurants, have an experienced team to help them with this task. The team members adapt to the guests and the national customs in order to offer them German and international cuisine of a high quality and to guarantee that the restaurant runs smoothly. So the catering managers, who provided meals in the German pavilions at the world exhibitions in Seville, Lisbon, Hanover, Aichi and Zaragoza, will also be taking their chefs with them to EXPO 2010 in Shanghai so guests can look forward to authentically prepared German dishes.

EXPO 2008 Zaragoza (Spain)
Decoration, equipping and running of the restaurant and the VIP lounge in the German Pavilion on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology; organisation of a state reception for 700 invited guests at the "Torre del Pino" finca.

Transport Logistic 2007
Stand catering, including all waiting and kitchen staff, for DB Logistik, Schenker and all of Deutsche Bahn AG’s subsidiaries.

Olympic Games 2006 Turin / Athens 2004 / Salt Lake City 2002Catering in the German Houses for up to 1,000 athletes, officials, sponsors and their guests and representatives of the National Olympic Committee per day; meals for the Federal Border Police, press and TV teams and junior athletes; and catering for the German Olympic Squad’s outside units.
